Ballet will maximize technique and longevity in a career of dance. The class will focus on posture, balance, self-discipline, grace, self-confidence, fitness, and individual expression.

Contemporary Dance
Contemporary dance is a deconstruction of ballet and modern even though it draws from the methods of both. It is considered “concert dance,” therefore the elements of discipline and focus logically follow the aforementioned. The students will be encouraged to push new boundaries, discover versatility, and minimize tension in the search for clarity and fluidity.

Contemporary Jazz/Modern
Contemporary Jazz will explore the musicality of gesture infused movement combined with Jazz steps. Dancers will be encouraged to push the envelope and step outside the box in idea and movement. Contemporary Modern incorporates a variety of techniques that focus on weight transference, fall and recovery, movement on and off center, and slow and fast movement. Students will explore abstraction and pedestrian movements to help develop their performances.

Hip Hop

Jazz
Jazz dance is an exploration of style and presentation. The trainees will be introduced to varying styles of Jazz dance including Commercial jazz, Theater dance and Hip Hop taught by teachers who are actively working to clarify, codify, and uphold the authenticity of the genre.

Modern
Modern dance technique will help to integrate the mind, body, and spirit connection through movement. This class will focus on classical modern techniques ranging from Limon, Graham, and Horton.

Theater Dance
Theater dance is an amalgamation of dance, acting and singing. Dancers will learn dance combinations from popular Broadway shows, and how to successfully achieve success at any Broadway audition.
